National Platform of Women from Moldova
Introduction
Launched back in 2012 and officially registered in 2016, PNFM is a non-governmental organisation, actively operating in Moldova, including the regions of UTA Gagauzia and Transnistria. PNFM was launched as an impact-driven initiative, aspiring specific target groups to increase awareness among women about entrepreneurial opportunities, developing skills and supporting growth in their lives and communities. Building a network of empowered and successful women leaders that can bring real change in their communities was the first and main purpose of PNFM. The Platform gathered around hundreds of female leaders from all over the country as active contributors to economic transformation and female empowerment. Since its founding, PNFM has achieved impressive results: the country wide network of 50 Women Ambassadresses operates; the biggest event for women across the country, the National Women Forum is annually organised, gathering around 500 participants each year.

Thematic relevance
PNFM had built valuable international relations, connecting the women from Moldova to the rest of the world. In 2015 the Platform became a member with full rights in the European organisation “Women Entrepreneurship Platform” (WEP). PNFM has a long standing experience in managing and participating in domestic and EU-funded projects. The most relevant ones: 1. Business Academy for Women (EuropeAid): building capacities and empowering ca. 300 women to follow an entrepreneurial path; 2. Accelerator of Social Enterprises (EuropeAid): fostering the empowerment of the entrepreneurial potential of young people from Moldova and Ukraine; 3. CROSSNISTRU: leveraging business resources to unveil touristic potential (UNDP).
