Introduction
KUK is a self-organised local network connecting creative professionals across the central Upper Palatinate. Founded in 2015 and registered as an association in 2019/2020, it has grown from 9 to around 30 members, including individuals, organisations and municipalities. KUK focuses on knowledge sharing, collaboration and strengthening the regional creative ecosystem. Its activities include artist residencies, youth-oriented workshops and community-building initiatives. As the only regional network of its kind, KUK works to amplify the voice of creatives and contribute to a vibrant, attractive cultural environment.

The region’s heritage, including folk celebrations like “Kirchweih/Kirwa” and beer-brewing traditions, benefits from KUK’s efforts to promote cultural identity and stimulate new interpretations through creative practices.
