Thematic relevance

Within this project, Ljubljana University contributes expertise in participatory research, cultural heritage, and tourism development. The Department will support stakeholders in applying bottom-up methodologies to valorize traditional handicrafts and cultural tourism. Previous initiatives, such as MadeIN and DEDI, provide a strong knowledge base for methodological development, including HCV Reports for COMMHERITOUR. Through collaborations with local municipalities, craft centers, and national symposia, the Department links research with field actors, policy makers, and communities. Their work ensures sustainable preservation of heritage, fosters creative entrepreneurship, and strengthens the integration of culture and tourism in Slovenia.
